Survey on hull to check for damages

Commercial Dive Services were hired to inspect the vessel Saga Pearl II for damage around the sewerage tank located in the aft bottom section of the vessel. A hole was located during the survey and the decision made by Chief Engineer Bob Kelso to temporarily patch the hole until the vessel reach Antigua whereby we would weld the same patch to the hull of the ship.

Water conditions and visibility were too poor to film while welding, due to the lighting and flash associated with both camera systems utilized. The patch was subsequently welded and a thorough inspection was carried out thereafter coupled with a limited but accurate video survey, once again caused by poor visibility.
