Installation Process
Commercial Dive Services detached the cable from the buoys and secured it along the ocean floor. For the first kilometer underwater, the divers used underwater drills to install steel hooks to the seabed to secure the cable. Commercial Dive Services also videotaped and referenced points for technicians to be able to perform repairs later on.
